Helping My Community
Saturday 20th JulFor my school Community Project, I wanted to help the homeless because I have noticed them more and more at local shopping centres and in the city, but I didn't know how to help them individually.
I investigated charities that help and found Hutt Street Centre. I decided that I could run a food stand out the front of my house and sell cookies, brownies and muffins to my local neighbourhood. I would like to make a difference in these people’s lives and raise at least $1,000 to help those in need.
I will be running a food stall in the coming weeks but also asking for financial donations from anyone that can help support this very worthy cause. There will also be the opportunity for people to donate non-perishable food and other items!
