The CX SLEEPOUT

We're at it again this year! City Cross will be raising funds for the 6,000 people experiencing homelessness in South Australia. All funds go directly to Hutt St Centre who have been supporting people for more than 65 years by providing a hearty meal, a hot shower, all in a safe, welcoming space.


Last year we launched the CX Sleepout, where 3 of our centre management team, gave up the comforts of their home for one night and raised over $7.5K for Hutt St Centre. OUR GOAL IS TO BEAT LAST YEAR AND RAISE $10K...

"We all take for granted the most simple things in life like coming home to running water, a warm meal, and bed to sleep in. I feel so lucky to have that safety and security and want to do my bit to help others in need. I really admired my colleagues in last year's fundraiser and so I will be joining in this year to support them and raise funds for Hutt St Centre. Our goal is to hit $10K and raise awareness for this worthy cause. We're sleeping it rough for 1 night, so all we ask of you is to please donate from the warmth of your hearts."

"Last year we gave up home to experience being homeless for one night. That experience led to a small understanding of what people deal with daily. Hutt Street are still doing the amazing work they do on a daily basis to support homeless people. I am giving up the luxuries again this year to help them continue to do this. Our small effort & your donations can have such a huge impact, & give hope & help to those that need it."

"I have decided to do the Sleep Out once again this year to help raise more funds for Hutt Street. Following last years great success and having the opportunity to Visit Hutt Street and see exactly where the money is going and how important funding is to them. I read recently that the number of people living on the streets of Adelaide has grown so funding during these winter months is vital. One night out in the cold is the least I can do to help raise awareness of what is happening on the streets in which we work."

Homelessness can and does happen to anyone.

Hutt St Centre is a place of hope and opportunity, helping people facing homelessness to rebuild their lives, without judgement.

Each year Hutt St Centre serves around 40,000 meals and offers social work and support services to nearly 2,000 people. Showers, laundry facilities, visiting health professionals, an aged city living program for our older clients, recreation activities, education and training, legal aid and assistance with finding housing are all services provided to up to 200 people experiencing homelessness each day.

Last year we launched the CX Sleepout, where 3 of our centre management team, gave up the comforts of their home for one night and raised over $7.5K for Hutt St Centre. 

Homelessness isn't a thing of the past, and every dollar helps, so we're at it again with a goal to beat last year and raise $10K to help the fight and end homelessness.
